Columbia Summer Funding (CSF) is one of the largest and most generous summer funding programs in the nation for students pursuing public interest and public service work. Given that they complete the program's fall and spring requirements, 1Ls are eligible to receive funding for 8 weeks of full-time (35 - 40 hours a week) public interest work over the summer.
1Ls must complete both items on the 1L Columbia Summer Funding (CSF) Registration Requirements checklist by November 29 at 11:59 pm to register for CSF. Please review your checklist ahead of the deadline to ensure you have enough time to complete the requirements.
2Ls must email a copy of their resume to CSFHelp@law.columbia.edu by November 29, 2024 to register.
It is recommended that J.D. students register for CSF even if they are unsure they will work in the public sector. Students cannot register after this date but can withdraw at any time if they accept a non-CSF-eligible position. L.LM. students are ineligible to participate in CSF.
