Is parking available?
Parking in the Morningside Heights area can be difficult. We strongly encourage you to use public transportation. However, limited parking is available in the vicinity of the Alfred J. Lerner Hall (115th Street and Broadway Avenue) as listed below. You may also check nyc.bestparking.com for parking garages in the neighborhood (often with discounts or coupons).

How do I get to the Columbia campus on public transportation?
Please remember that the only subway line that stops at 116th Street and Broadway is the 1. The M11 bus travels up Amsterdam Avenue and stops at 116th Street and Amsterdam Avenue, and the M104 bus travels up Broadway and stops at 116th Street and Broadway. The M4 bus travels up Madison Avenue, crosses on 110th Street, and then turns up Broadway and makes a stop at 116th Street. 

Yellow taxis can be flagged from most city streets at any time of the day or night. In addition, Boro Taxis can be flagged in the outer boroughs and in Manhattan above 96th Street. They are recognizable by their apple-green color.

A New York City wheelchair-accessible taxi can be requested by calling the 311 operators; calling the dispatch center directly at 646-599-9999; texting a request to 646-400-0789; using the mobile app Wheels on Wheels; or ordering online.

Rideshare apps connect you with a professional driver for door-to-door car service. Visit Uber or Lyft for more information.

Where are Reunion Weekend 2024 events taking place on campus?
A map of Reunion 2024 Weekend Activities, including Class Dinner locations, will be added to the website soon.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept payment by credit card, from cards bearing the logo of American Express, MasterCard Worldwide, or Visa, Inc., and by check provided that it is drawn in U.S. dollars from a U.S. branch of a U.S. bank. 

We regret that we cannot accept any cash payment, including banknotes and coins, cashier’s check, traveller’s check, money order, or checks drawn from foreign banks.

Please note that Reunion registration fees and gift monies are processed separately and result in separate credit card charges. If you are paying your registration fee by check and want to include a gift, separate checks would be gratefully received. Both fee and gift checks should be made out to “Columbia Law School”.

What if I am religiously observant during Reunion?
Our Reunion programming, with morning, afternoon, and evening activities scheduled throughout the weekend, is designed to provide opportunities for cultural, professional, and social interaction with classmates for observant alumni of all faiths.

The Zoom panel sessions will all be recorded and posted to the website after Reunion. 

Do I need to register for my class dinner?
Yes. Your class dinner is a seated event, and space is limited–be sure to register in advance! We can accept walk-in attendees on a space-available basis, but we strongly encourage you to register by Wednesday, May 29, 2024.

Can I bring my children to Reunion?
Our Saturday Summer Picnic Luncheon under the South Lawn Tent is family-friendly and will include clowns, face painters, and balloon artists—children are most welcome! Other Reunion Weekend events are more suitable for adults, such as the Panel Discussions and the evening Class Events.

What is the recommended attire?
Business attire is recommended for the Friday evening event. Casual dress is suggested for Saturday daytime activities. Cocktail attire is suggested for Saturday evening. 

Can I receive Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit during Reunion Weekend?
Application for New York accreditation of the indicated CLE credit awarding programs will be pending until closer to the date.

Attorneys wishing to receive CLE credit at the Saturday in-person panel discussions must sign the register at the CLE Desk both prior to and following each CLE program.

What is the Stone Circle?
The Stone Circle honors alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago. It is named for the Harlan Fiske Stone, who graduated from Columbia Law School in 1898, served on the Columbia Law School faculty from 1902 to 1905, and led the Law School as dean from 1910 to 1924. Later he became attorney general of the United States (1924), associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court (1925), and chief justice (1941).

The Stone Circle was established by Columbia Law School alumni as a jovial gathering of graduates and friends who recalled fondly the era when Harlan Fiske Stone was dean. Today we invite alumni to join the Stone Circle on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of their graduation. Stone Circle members are a distinguished and vibrant part of our alumni community; they gather at a luncheon each fall to welcome new members and celebrate dear friends.
